And be sure to check your inbox next week for a sneak peek of the new work.

A trip down the river

It's often the unexpected moments in life that provide the most beauty. A sunset, reflection, or light we weren't expecting can turn into a moment that moves and inspires us. My new work consists of landscapes from places and times that have inspired me like this new piece, Waccamaw Eddy, from a trip down the Waccamaw River.

Home Run for the Arts

Last Monday, I had the opportunity to live paint at Fluor Field for Home Run for the Arts in partnership with The Greenville Drive and Metropolitan Arts Council (MAC) to help create awareness for all the arts-related programs MAC provides for our community. I painted this piece, Wyche Pavilion, during the game. Check it out: https://www.craigragsdale.com/originals/wyche-pavilion-14x11-oil-on-wood-panel

My Story

When there’s something you’re passionate about, you find threads of it throughout your life.

In my case, that thread is a love of art. And when I look back at my junior year in college, it’s fitting that I chose to spend a semester abroad in Florence Italy, the birthplace of the Renaissance.

To this day, that six months left a huge impression on my life that will remain with me. From learning the art of fresco from renowned restoration artist Lorenzo Casamenti, to soaking up Italian wine, food, language, and culture, there was no better place for me. And another bucket list item is to make it back one day to experience it all over again.

Hope to see you on the 27th.
Onward and upward!
